Dash Snow falleció el pasado día 13 de julio en el Lafayette House Hotel de Manhattan por causa de una sobredosis de heroina.
Formaba parte de una generación que, influída por fotógrafos como Larry clark o Nan Goldin, retrató el joven mundillo "arty" neoyorkino a través de escenas explícitas de sexo, drogas o violencia.
De una manera casual y directa documentó con gran honestidad la decadencia de este estilo de vida y contribuyó al revival del "snapshot" como tendencia en la fotografía actual.

Dash Snow died of a heroin overdose on the evening of July 13, 2009 at Lafayette House, a hotel in lower Manhattan.
He made part of a generation that, influenced by photographers such as Larry Clark or Nan Goldin, depicted NY´s young artistic circles through explicit sexual, drug or violence scenes.
With a casual and frank style he documented this decadent world and contributed to the revival of the snapshot as a trend on nowadays photography.
